Lookery was launched last Friday. It’s a ad company for the social network Facebook. As Rockyou, Lookery is trying provide the advertiser with more detailed data about the users for them to place the Ads.

Main Features:

  1. Facebook apps can sign up with lookery and the Ads will be put on the Apps.
  2. Advertisers can sign up with lookery. And the Ads will be carried at the right apps to the right users.

In short, Lookery get the detailed user data from the Apps who want to carry Ads. And then they analyze the data and put the right Ads from advertisers to the Facebook apps. It’s a better platform between the applications and the advertisers.

Facebook’s 32 million users, many of them college aged, provide a bounty of information about themselves in their profiles — from their age, to geographic location, hobbies and other interests, romantic to academic. Calvin Klein or Fendi for example, can use Lookery to target their ads to users of Facebook applications most heavily used by college aged woman aged 19 to 22, who are romantically involved and are likely to have high incomes because they attend Ivy League schools. Lookery, meanwhile, will be able to charge advertisers specific rates for targeting that demographic. (From Venture Beat)

The founder of Lookery is Scott Rafer, who is also the founder of WiFinder , Feedster, MyBlogLog and Mashery .
